About Kyvoo

In the world of aviation, CAVU stands for “Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited,” describing ideal flying conditions.  Clear skies and perfect visibility. Three of our four founders are pilots, and this acronym inspired the name of our company, Kyvoo (/KY-voo/).

Three of our four founders are pilots, and wanted a name that not only reflected the future they envisioned for their product but also embodied the joy and pleasure of working together to achieve something great with Kyvoo’s flagship product, Assist.

Burt Stevens, Our COO and Chief Legal Officer, is one of fewer than 800 Master Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) in the world. He is also a lawyer and a lifelong entrepreneur, having built many successful businesses.

Burt was the driving force that brought the other founders together, recognizing their shared passion for aviation and the potential of a new technology, AI, to help companies.

From a technology standpoint, two of our other founders have been involved with AI and enterprise consulting for decades. They both saw the benefits and challenges of implementing AI and had separately discussed this with Burt.  Thus forming the impetus to bring us all together.

Richard Wilson, our CEO and CTO, is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience of technical and business experience.  He has been part of organizations of all stages, from startup to IPO, and has worked across numerous verticals; aviation, finance, retail, manufacturing and pure technology.  His passion for technology delivering business value has been a driving force behind Assist.  Ensuring it delivers measurable, real-world benefits; from day one.

As Kyvoo shifted into the practical world of delivering and maintaining the Assist solution, our second technical founder, a former Microsoft employee, chose to exit the company. 

Molly Stevens, our CFO, rounds out our founder group and is the one who truly made the company possible.  She has been instrumental in the funding and running of numerous businesses throughout her career. Her business experience and financial support have been crucial to our success. Her backing and business experience has brought together a world-class team of software and AI engineers to develop a product, company, and culture that we believe is second to none.
